Welcome Message from the Trustees

Guided by Faith, Grounded in Excellence, Focused on the Future.

We, the Trustees of Olive Branches Schools, are daily grateful to be a part of the lives of the staff and children who walk through the school gates. Our children and staff are the heritage of the Lord, and we daily confess that they will be signs and wonders according to Isaiah 8:18 of the Holy Bible. We trust that parents of the children and other stakeholders of the School will, by the same grace of God, be daily loaded with untold benefits as they invest in qualitative education for their wards.

Over the years, we have stood for the values of transparency and an aversion to false facades in academic evaluation. The Latin creed Per Angusta Ad Augusta, which means through difficulty to greatness, represents the heritage we hand over to our learners. We teach them the value of hard work as they learn to treat their academics like a boot camp, where they come in as fresh recruits but graduate with laurels earned by diligence and the grace of God.

The School believes in creative, child-centred teaching founded on effective inquiry methods. We also teach the children to understand that they are citizens of a global community living in the most populous Black nation, Nigeria. Our Friday traditions reflect our diverse multicultural background as we teach our pupils to wear their national costumes with pride. The focus is not fashion; it is a veritable tool for weaving patriotism and national consciousness into the psyche of our learners. These are two key ingredients our nation, Nigeria, needs to depart from the doldrums.

Many of our traditions are inspired by our personal experiences at the prestigious Staff School, University of Ibadan; Government College Ibadan (GCI); and the International School, Ibadan (ISI), where we were students. For these priceless gifts, we will forever thank our parents—Venerable and Mrs. Ladunjoye Omigbodun, and Professor and Mrs. Olaolu Babalola. The gift of good education they invested in us forms part of the foundation for the love of learning instilled in our pupils and students today.

The entire Olive Branches Schools family continues to strive for continuous advancement as we focus on the Author and Finisher of our faith, who is more than able to complete the good work He has started.
